COSW Policy Forum – November 2024

The COSW Policy Forum is an annual online event which includes a presentation of the annual activity report, presentations by significant Commonwealth speakers and discussion of future priorities. The 2024 event took place shortly after the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa and so included feedback from the COSW team of social workers about their activities at CHOGM helping to shape Commonwealth priorities. There was also a discussion with the Chair of the Independent Forum of Commonwealth Organisations about civil society in the Commonwealth as well as feedback on activity. As in previous years, there were two sessions of the Forum 12 hours apart with the same programme, enabling people from all time zones to participate.

Included below are videos from the first session broken into 4 sections – 1) welcome and annual activity report, 2) young carers’ video message to CHOGM, 3) conversation about civil society in the Commonwealth with Nicholas Watts (IFCO Chair) and 4) feedback from CHOGM, COSW constitutional reform and discussion.
